How to Prepare for Your Dumpster Delivery

Getting ready for a roll-off delivery is easy, and a little preparation makes the whole thing seamless. Follow these steps and our driver will be in and out in minutes, with the container exactly where you want it.

1. Pick your spot

Decide where the container should go before we arrive — usually the driveway. Choose a flat, firm surface with a clear path in. Think about which side you'll be loading from and how you'll open the rear door.

2. Clear the space

Move cars, trailers, trash cans and toys out of the way. Our truck needs room to back in and lift the container off, so a clear, straight approach makes all the difference.

3. Check the overhead and sides

Look up. Low branches, power lines and carport roofs can get in the way of the truck's hoist. Also make sure there's enough width — gates and tight side yards are worth measuring ahead of time.

4. Protect the surface (we help)

We place boards under the container's wheels to protect your driveway from marks, but if you have a brand-new or sensitive surface, mention it when you book so we can take extra care.

5. Know what's going in

Have a rough plan for your load, and set aside anything that can't go in the container — paint, tires, electronics and the like. That keeps your project on track and avoids surprises.

• Load heavy, flat items first and distribute weight evenly.
• Break down boxes and bulky items to save space.
• Keep debris level with the top rim — don't overfill above the walls.
• For heavy debris, stay within the marked fill line.
